Removing jar and twisting bottle caps can become difficult as our hands lose strength as we age. Some of the commercial jar openers are stiff and difficult for some hands to grasp. So…I, Graggie, a person who has had jar opening difficulty following a fall, made these for myself.  My husband who has arthritis in his hands uses the pads as well. 
The pads have been tried and tested.  They provide a soft grip that assists the user to grasp and remove jar lids and/or twist bottle caps. They are also handy for placing between plates and bowls, or to protect surfaces. They are not heat resistant.

These make great 'stocking stuffers' or additions to a gift basket.
